FAQ
UPE / technical buyer FAQ
- What is the buyer-critical path?
The deterministic core, stable C API boundary, proof scripts, and example scenes relevant to your target integration.
- Is cross-platform bit-exact determinism guaranteed?
No. The strongest current guarantee is repeated-run determinism on the same binary, same inputs, and same runtime path.
- Can I modify UPE internally?
That is typically addressed in the commercial source license. Internal modification is expected to be part of serious integration discussions.
- Can I ship it inside a commercial game or application?
Yes. The intended posture is to integrate UPE into your own shipped product while Arctic Codex retains ownership of the engine itself.
- Do I own my own game, app, or simulation product?
Yes. The licensing discussion concerns UPE itself, not ownership of the product you build with it.
- Are bindings the product?
No. The C API is the core product boundary; bindings are convenience layers for stack-specific follow-up validation.
- Do you offer exclusivity or acquisition paths?
Those are private, qualified-buyer discussions rather than the default public path. The public default is the standard non-exclusive commercial source license.
Store / browser tools FAQ
- How do I install the browser tools?
Use the product-specific install guides. The current versions are installed through Chrome Developer Mode and Load unpacked.
- Are updates included?
Only what is stated on the product page or in the support note should be assumed. Browser-tool purchases are intentionally simple one-time utility offers.
- What license do I get?
A buyer-use software product license for your own internal or personal workflows, not a redistribution or resale right for the standalone package.
- Do these require cloud services?
No required cloud service is needed for the main browser-tool workflows described on the site. The utilities are positioned as local-first tools.
- Where do I look up my order or re-download info?
Use the site-wide View My Orders link and, if needed, email support for help with the order trail.
- What support is included?
Support is lightweight and direct: start with the install guide and product docs, then email Arctic Codex if you still need help.
