ArcticCodex ("Service") is a hosted subscription AI chat platform operated by Tristan Salisbury (operating as BearPack Online Services), Ontario, Canada ("Company", "we", "us").
By using ArcticCodex, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use this Service.
We offer monthly subscription plans (Basic, Pro, Max) with defined token quotas and model access. Pricing is displayed at checkout and in your account.
New users receive a 7-day free trial with limited tokens. No payment information is required to start a trial. Your trial plan will automatically convert to a paid plan on expiration unless canceled.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. We will charge the payment method on file at the renewal date.
You can cancel your subscription anytime via your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
If you dispute a charge, contact support@arcticcodex.com within 30 days. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
You agree NOT to use ArcticCodex to:
Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
We store your conversations to enable chat history and provide better support. You can delete conversations or your entire account anytime.
By default, your conversations are NOT used to train any models, including our own. If we ever implement opt-in training, you will explicitly agree and can opt out anytime.
When you use a model, your request may be sent to the model provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). Each provider has its own data policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy terms. You acknowledge that model providers may analyze requests for abuse detection and may use anonymous aggregate data for research.
You can delete individual conversations or request full account deletion anytime. We will delete your data within 30 days except where required by law.
ArcticCodex does not generate responses. When you send a message, we route it to a third-party AI provider based on your selected model.
You are responsible for reviewing each provider's terms of use. We are not responsible for model provider outages, content policies, or data handling.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY.
In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 30 days.
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. We may perform maintenance with or without notice. Outages caused by third-party providers are outside our control.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate the Acceptable Use Policy or engage in fraud. Suspended accounts will not receive refunds.
We may update these Terms anytime. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
